Small children will have a blast at Buckaroo Bayou, a splashpad designed specifically for them.

Mary Jo Peckham Park
Anglers of all ages can cast their lines at this beloved local park. The lake is regularly stocked with fish by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Crowds often gather after stocking when the bites are plentiful. Rainbow trout, bass, and catfish are the typical catches of the day (varying by season). There’s also a large train-themed playground, mini-golf, jogging path, dog park, gazebos, barbecue accommodations, and a fitness center with an indoor pool.

Fort Worth

It’s the “City of Cowboys and Culture.” You can witness a cattle drive of breathtaking Texas Longhorns (with horns spanning from 5–6 feet, tip to tip), and enjoy world-renowned artwork, all between lunch and dinner. Fort Worth’s eight entertainment districts create a unique blend of the Old West and modern culture that no city does better. With headquarters to massive companies—like Lockheed Martin, American Airlines, and Pier 1 Imports—along with quaint neighborhoods, and affordable housing, it’s no wonder that Fort Worth is one of America’s fastest-growing cities.
